Before you use Legalon
There are no known restrictions for adults taking Legalon. There have been no adequate investigations of the use of Legalon in children. How to take Legalon capsules
Unless otherwise directed by your health care professional, Legalon capsules should initially be taken one capsule three times a day. This may be reduced to one capsule twice a day as a maintenance dose. Your health care professional will decide how long treatment should be continued. If symptoms persist you should contact your health care professional.
Is it better to take Legalonbefore or after meals?
Legalon is a medicine of plant origin and is very well tolerated. You can therefore take Legalon on an empty stomach. This has the advantage that the active agent, known as silymarin, is more quickly absorbed into the body and can act more rapidly and effectively. However should any gastrointestinal problems occur you can take Legalon during or after meals.
Effects on ability to drive and use machines
Legalon has no known adverse effects in these situations.
Side Effects
Legalon is a medicine of plant origin. Medicines of plant origin are generally well tolerated and this is certainly true of Legalon. It has been employed for the treatment of liver diseases for almost 30 years. In rare cases a mild laxative action has occasionally been observed.
